My child, just under three years old, had plenty of space to explore, and the light breakfast provided was ideal for our morning routines. The clean, cozy rooms, each with a balcony view of the Picos, offered a peaceful place to unwind after a day of exploring. While dining options are limited, the owner kindly assisted me in preparing tea each morning. I suggest bringing your own food, as the nearest dining can be found in town, which is a short trek away. The location, directly on the Camino de Santiago del Norte, also serves as a unique backdrop for family adventures. In summary, Calzadas is an excellent choice for families seeking a quiet retreat with stunning views and friendly service.
